We are seeking a Head of Compliance and Conduct to support the business for a period of 12 months. This individual will lead the 2nd line Compliance function, providing expertise, challenge and reporting that supports the business ambition to the CtM Executive, extended leadership team and Governance forums, to ensure CtM operates compliantly and in-line with regulatory expectations.

You will naturally promote a strong Risk and Compliance culture by positively influencing key initiatives and decisions to protect customer and business outcomes, with a clear understanding and management of the Compliance and Conduct risk profile. Supporting the operating model to work at optimal levels through effective business partnering, to support business growth, whilst managing the Compliance Department, including 4 direct reports.

Daily responsibilities:

•    Lead the Compliance & Conduct function, ability to provide strong people leadership, performance management and talent development
•    Act as a highly effective business partner, providing Executive and Senior Management level Compliance challenge and support. Act as deputy for the CRCO when required.
•    Establish and maintain Compliance policies and frameworks.
•    Work in parallel with the AD of Risk and AD of Legal to ensure compliance risk management is effective and in line with the agreed risk appetite.
•    Provide effective challenge and oversight to the business to ensure CtM remains complaint with all relevant regulations.
•    Promote a strong Compliance culture by positively influencing key initiatives and decisions to protect customer and business outcomes.
•    Equip the business (1st line) with the training, tools, policies and frameworks to operate compliantly and not cause harm to customers.
•    Be a key contributor to the extended CtM leadership team and attendee on behalf of the CRCO at business committees and forums.

You’ll ideally have:

•    Significant experience of the FCA regulatory regime and in the field of compliance
•    Evidenced track record of senior Compliance Leadership at an Executive level in a 2nd line function.
•    Excellent communicator and influencer across board, executive and senior management level. Can make the complex simple and actionable
•    Advanced communication styles and adaptability, particularly with executive and board audiences
